Vanlife - the Vehicle to Freedom

We are Abby and Jay with the @alpine_adventure_bus
For us, this lifestyle stemmed from aligning with our higher self and true values. We had been living the “normal” life grinding 9-5 jobs, working our way up the corporate ladder, living in a house, driving nice cars, etc. As we started to awaken, we realized this life we were living was not “us,” but what was programmed by parents, teachers, pastors, and society in general. We reevaluated what our true values were, what made us happy, and what we wanted our life to look like, regardless of what others thought. Building out the bus was the beginning of living life on our own terms. We sold all of the trivial things, became debt free almost immediately, and were able to move forward with a clean slate.
The bus was literally our “vehicle” to freedom. We have been in the bus for 2 years now and are happily living a more minimalistic, sustainable, loving lifestyle that aligns directly with our higher values. We didn’t know exactly how things would turn out, but took the leap of faith and now we wouldn’t have it any other way. We know Buslife/ vanlife may not be for everyone, but regardless if it is or not, we always encourage people to dive deep inwards, figure out what’s important to them personally, and live unapologetically based on that. Life is too short to be living to please others. If you don’t feel fulfilled by the typical picket fence lifestyle, you’re not alone, there IS another way and it IS possible! Let’s be kind to one another as we navigate this life and spread as much love as possible!
